From her upcoming third studio album, Artpop. It was written and produced by Lady Gaga and DJ White Shadow, released on August 12. It has reached number 6 in Billboard Hot 100.

It has a tempo of 140 bpm, and has been pinned to the electropop and eurodance music genres.

It has been very compared to Katy Perry’s song “Roar”, since both were released almost consecutive.

According to the Official Charts Company, “Applause” sold over 10 000 copies within a few hours in the UK.


Katy Perry – Roar (2013 DEMO)

Here is the new single of Katy Perry for her fourth studio album “PRISM”.

The song is an “empowerment anthem” in which Perry stands up for herself, having “discovered the power within herself”. It received acclaim from critics and media outlets, most of them praising Perry’s vocal performance and the empowering theme of the song.
The music video up to now is a lyric video showing Emoji characters; where she texts the lyrics to her friends.
She will perform the song for the first time in the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.


Radioactive – Imagine Dragons (2013)

This song was recorded by indie rock band Imagine Dragons for their major-label debut EP Continued Silence and later on their debut studio album, Night Visions, as the opening track. “Radioactive” was first sent to radio on April 2, 2012 and again on October 29, 2012 as the second single in the United States and the third overall.

Up to now, it has remained 47 weeks on the Hot 100 Billboard Chart.

“Radioactive” was used heavily in promotion for the video game Assassin’s Creed.
